Wealth Palace (Cai Bo Gong): Meaning, Triad & the 14 Major Stars
The Wealth Palace shows how you earn and manage money: where it comes from, how it is kept and where it goes. This page covers what it shows, its opposite Spirit Palace and triad, empty palaces, the four transformations here, and the fourteen major stars in it.
What the Wealth Palace shows
The Wealth Palace shows how you earn and manage money: where it comes from, how it's kept and where it goes. It reads your 'earning pattern', not 'how much you have'; the same Wealth Palace can lead to very different results under different effort and decades.
Modern reading
Modern use maps it to income structure and money mindset. Read it with the Property Palace (can you keep it?) and the Spirit Palace (how you feel about spending) for a full picture of wealth.
Opposite palace and triad
The Wealth Palace's opposite is the Spirit Palace; its triad palaces are the Career Palace and the Life Palace. When you read the Wealth Palace, these four palaces 'shine' onto it together and should be read as one picture.
Its opposite is the Spirit Palace: how you earn and how you feel about spending pull on each other. Read it with the Property Palace for 'earn' versus 'keep'.
If the palace is empty
A palace with no major star is called empty; borrow the major stars of its opposite (the Spirit Palace) to read it, discount the borrowed stars, and then add the palace's own companion stars, harsh stars and transformations.
Four transformations in the Wealth Palace
Hua Lu, Hua Quan, Hua Ke and Hua Ji falling into the Wealth Palace activate the area of earning and money management: Hua Lu tends to bring affinity and ease, Hua Quan control and initiative, Hua Ke reputation and benefactors, Hua Ji fixation and lessons. The site has a separate entry for each, linked below.
The fourteen major stars in the Wealth Palace
Each of the fourteen major stars behaves differently in the Wealth Palace. The site has a separate entry for each star, covering temperament, career, love and wealth — see the links below.
Common misconceptions
1) A strong Wealth Palace does not guarantee riches — it describes a tendency; effort and timing are real. 2) Hua Ji here doesn't mean losing money; it usually means fixation or turbulence in a field you invest deeply in. 3) Reading wealth from this palace alone is partial — Property and Spirit matter too.
How to read it
Start with stars and brightness; then the opposite Spirit Palace (spending mindset) and the triad (Career, Life); then compare with the Property Palace for accumulation.
